I've created proper graphics for the titles as well as adding a 'Making of' section.

Building up to the release of Uncharted 3, I decided to do something special, something that I thought would be a bit of a challenge but at the same time fun to do. I set out to
create a costume for my StupidFox plushie, one that resembled Nathan Drake's desert attire in Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception.

This is the first time I've tried hand printing anything before, and proved to be quite a challenge. Initially, I thought about creating the gun strap and holster as well as the bandoleer, but as the project progressed it proved unnecessary as the scarf (Keffiyeh) takes up most of the room. For the keffiyeh, I spent alot of time analysing videos of Drake with his scarf, what the pattern looked like, the tassels, how it was worn, etc. I then set about seeing which fabric would work best and found that cotton was suitable as it is a nice 'stretchy' fabric.

I began work on a prototype version to first see if it was at all possible. The pattern is made up of a simple four square sequence. I created a linocut to use as a stamp from a piece of lino by drawing the design on with permanent marker and then using lino cutting tools to extract the unnecessary parts. Again, this was the first time I've attempted 'lino cutting'. I super-glued a spray bottle top to the back of the linocut, which made it easier to lino print. With the prototype finished I set about creating the final version.

To avoid fraying where the tassels are sewn in, I had to hem up the sides in the final version using a sewing machine. I then printed the main pattern on using the linocut stamp I made earlier. I used an old xray to make stencils for the single and multiple lines on the sides of the scarf. Tassels were sewn in afterwards and thread split to give it that 'frayed' look. Drake's ring completes the costume, which I got with my Explorer Edition of Uncharted 3.
